$200K Award for Hawaiian Language Preschool Tuition Assistance

The Harry & Jeannette Weinberg Foundation has awarded the ʻAha Pūnana Leo a grant in the amount of $200,000 in support of our tuition assistance program.  This grant will allow the ʻAha Pūnana Leo to provide much needed scholarships for eligible families of children in our Hawaiian language medium preschool and toddler programs.

The ʻAha Pūnana Leo is very grateful to the Harry & Jeannette Weinberg Foundation for its generous help in supporting our commitment to provide communities across the State with high quality preschool and toddler programs that align with our vision and mission to have the Hawaiian language live as a natural language of daily life.  The majority of our families are in need of financial assistance and this grant will be of great benefit in helping those families enroll and keep their children in preschool.

The ʻAha Pūnana Leo is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit family based educational organization dedicated to the revitalization of the Hawaiian language, primarily through its Hawaiian language preschool education programs.
