The Pūnana Leo Mission
The Pūnana Leo movement grew out of a dream that there be reestablished throughout Hawai'i the mana of a living Hawaiian language from the depths of our origins. The Pūnana Leo family initiates, provides for, and nurtures various Hawaiian language environments. Our families are the living essence of these environments, and we find our strength in our spirituality, love of our language, love of our people, love of our land, and love of knowledge.
Pūnana Leo Family Education Program
Family involvement and participation is essential in the Pūnana Leo. One of the program's main objectives is to educate the entire 'ohana in the things Hawaiian.

Ho'iho'i Honua. Ho'iho'i Honua is a way in which we connect to the Pūnana Leo honua (site). By caring for our Pūnana Leo home we ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment we all can be proud of. The Ho'iho'i Honua may be fulfilled through a variety of activities.
Lā 'Ohana. Lā 'Ohana is our opportunity to gather, as a Pūnana Leo 'ohana, staff and families on our Pūnana Leo site and beyond to strengthen our mauli ola Hawai'i at the Pūnana Leo. It is an opportunity to physically work together and enjoy socializing as a Pūnana Leo 'ohana.
