This year the ‘Aha Pūnana Leo celebrates its 25th anniversary and honors the ‘ohana of support, from within the program and beyond, that has moved Hawaiian language revitalization forward.

This year's theme, He ‘Ohana Lanakila Kākou (Victorious Together) acknowledges the critical network of kōkua from every sector—private, public, and government—that supports our keiki, ‘ohana, and staff. Ne‘epapa 2008 is a celebration of our collective accomplishments as we work to ensure the survival of our‘ōlelo Hawai‘i, our Hawaiian language, which is the core of our unique identity here in Hawai‘i.
