What is the curriculum like?
Our online classes are based on the textbook Nā Kai ‘Ewalu, written by Dr. William H. Wilson and Professor Kauanoe Kamanā of Ka Haka ‘Ula O Ke‘elikōlani College of Hawaiian language. It has been modified heavily for online instruction. Nā Kai ‘Ewalu focuses on the grammatical structures, vocabulary and cultural concepts that you would encounter in everyday life. Each chapter includes a vocabulary list, short conversational phrases, a sample dialog between two people, new grammatical concepts and practice exercises, as well as review assignments.

We currently offer classes at the beginning and intermediate levels.

More details will be provided to students upon entry.
